Overview
SkyllfulIQ provides learning analytics based on assignments. By default, the dashboard shows data for All Learners, but you can personalize your view using Custom Views. This feature allows you to filter analytics by criteria such as market or role—helping you focus on the insights that matter most to you.
Navigate to the Views Section
From your IQ dashboard, locate the Views tile.
Select an Empty Custom View Tile
Click on a blank tile to begin creating a new custom view.
Name Your Custom View
Give your view a descriptive name. Example: Houston Drivers.
Apply Filter Criteria
Use the dropdown menus and radio buttons to choose your filters. You can:
Select one option per category (e.g., Market, Role).
Combine multiple filters across categories.
Example:
Market: Houston
Role: Delivery Drivers
Click Apply
Your new custom view will be saved and appear as a tile at the top of your dashboard.
Using Custom Views
The blue tile shows which custom view is currently active.
To switch views, click the tile of the view you’d like to apply.
All data lenses on your dashboard will update based on the selected view.
Editing or Deleting a View
Click the arrow in the bottom-right corner of a view tile to make edits.
You can rename or change filters from this menu.
To delete a view, select the trash icon (note: at least one view must remain active).
Best Practice
Start by naming views based on location, role, or team function (e.g., “Nashville Dispatch” or “Warehouse Leads”) to keep your dashboard organized and easy to navigate.

Create a Custom View
Welcome to Skillful Training. In this video, you will be shown how to create a custom view in SkillfulIQ. SkillfulIQ displays learning analytics by assignment with the preset view of all learners. However, you have the ability to filter and personalize the data displayed by creating custom views. Views can be created, edited, and removed. The only caveat is that you must always have at least one view applied. You can edit the current view of all learners by selecting the arrow on the bottom right corner of the views tile.
Or, you can create a new custom view. Custom views created by you are only visible to you and do not impact original data tables. To create a new custom view, select an empty custom view tile. Then, provide your new custom view a name. We will call this custom view Houston Drivers. Next, select the radio buttons for your preferred filtering criteria. The menu will allow you to choose up to one radio button from one or more data criteria.
Since this custom view is of Houston Drivers, we will select Houston from the market list and we will select Delivery Drivers from the roll list. Now that we have made our selections, click Apply to save the changes. A tile will be created at the top of your IQ dashboard for your new custom view. The custom view will impact the data displayed on each lens of SkillfulIQ. The blue tile indicates which custom view is being applied to the data. To switch between views, simply select the tile of the view you wish to see.
Now that you have taken a deeper look at creating custom views, you are ready to practice creating a custom view on your own.
