Overview
The Lessons Dashboard has several controls that let you adjust what data you see and how it is displayed. Using these options helps you zero in on the lessons and steps that need your attention most.
View Lesson Data For
This control determines the time range of data shown in the dashboard.
All-Time shows data from every Learner attempt since the lesson was published. This is the default setting and gives you the broadest view of performance.
Published Version Only limits the data to attempts on the current published version of each lesson. Use this when you want to see how learners are performing on your most recent content, without older version data affecting the results.
View By Mode
This control lets you choose which learning modes are included in the incorrect action data.
Practice Mode includes attempts made while learners are practicing the lesson steps interactively.
Knowledge Check Mode includes attempts made during knowledge check assessments.
Both modes are selected by default. You can uncheck either one to focus on a specific mode. For example, if you want to see where learners are struggling during practice but not during assessments, uncheck Knowledge Check Mode.
View As
This control changes how the step data is displayed in the grid.
Percent shows the percentage of attempts that resulted in an incorrect action at each step. This is the default and makes it easy to compare steps across lessons of different sizes.
Count shows the raw number of incorrect actions at each step. This is useful when you want to understand the actual volume of errors.
Filter By
The Filter By control lets you narrow the lesson list based on a specific category and value. This is helpful when you are working with a large program and want to focus on a particular group of learners or a specific part of your curriculum.
Select a Category from the dropdown, then select a Value to filter by. The available categories are: Assignment, Attempts, Course, Date Attempted, Fail Rate, Job Role, Market, Module, Region, Step Count, User Tag, and Warehouse.
Note that categories like Region, Market, Warehouse, and Location are based on organizational metadata that each customer configures for their own setup. The specific values available to you in these filters will reflect your organization's structure and may look different from what another organization sees.
You can also use the Search field to find a specific lesson by name.
To remove a filter, select clear next to the Search field.

Now that you know how to adjust the data, learn how to read the step-by-step grid to identify which lessons and steps need attention. See Reading the Step-by-Step Grid for details.
