What Are Courses?

Courses in Skyllful help structure your training content by grouping related lessons and modules together. Think of them as folders inside your Learning Program that align with a job path or training track.

Each Course contains Modules, which are built around specific learning objectives, and each Module contains Lessons.

Purpose

Courses help you organize training content around specific workflows, roles, or learning goals. They act like folders inside a Learning Program, keeping things grouped and easy to follow—for both the learner and the admin.

Function

  • Group content by process, topic, or job path

  • Connect Modules and Lessons under a unified learning objective

  • Make assignments manageable by keeping content relevant and bite-sized

  • Track performance and learner progress at the course level

Why It Matters

Courses help you organize content around what learners need to know and when they need to know it. They make large Learning Programs easier to manage and easier for learners to follow.

For Learners:

Courses make training easier to follow by grouping related content together. Learners can clearly see what they need to learn and in what order—reducing confusion and helping them stay on track.

For Administrators:

Courses make large Learning Programs more manageable. They allow you to organize content by workflow, job role, or topic, so you can assign, update, and track progress more efficiently.
