Article Overview

Skyllful Studio allows you to manage users efficiently by exporting existing user data, making bulk edits or additions in a CSV file, and re-importing the updated file. This process is ideal for onboarding new users or updating existing user information.

Export Existing Users

  1. Navigate to the User Management section in Skyllful Studio.

  2. Click the overflow menu (three dots) and select Export Users.

  3. A CSV file will download to your local system.

Important:Do not modify the header row in the CSV file.

  • Required fields for each user are:

    • Person Number (Pers.No.)

    • Personnel Name (Last, First)

    • Email

Edit or Add Users in the CSV

  • To edit existing users, locate their row in the CSV and update the necessary fields.

  • To add new users, append new rows at the end of the CSV file, ensuring all required fields are filled.

Notes:

  • If you provide values for Username and Password, the user will be set up with Skyllful Authentication.

  • If these fields are left blank, the user will be configured for Single Sign-On (SSO) login.

  • Deleting a user’s row in the CSV and re-importing does not remove the user from the system.

Import the Updated CSV

  1. In the User Management section, click the overflow menu (three dots) and select Import Users.

  2. Choose the updated CSV file from your local system.

  3. After the import, an Import Report will be generated and downloaded automatically.

Review the Import Report

  • Open the Import Report to identify any errors.

  • The report includes:

    • Record #: Corresponds to the row number in your CSV file.

    • Error Messages: Descriptions of issues encountered during import.

Common Issues:

  • Missing required fields (e.g., job roles).

  • Incorrect data formats.

Resolution:

  • Correct the errors in the original CSV file.

  • Re-import the updated CSV.

Best Practices

  • Always export the current user list before making bulk changes to ensure correct formatting.

  • Avoid altering the structure of the CSV file, especially the header row.

  • Ensure the ‘User’ tab remains the first sheet in the CSV file.

  • Close the CSV file before importing to prevent upload issues.
