Create a New Lesson - Image Tutorial
1. Navigate to your Program's Course Overview screen. You can do this using the Skyllful menu or the Learning Program Card on Studio's home screen.
2. Choose the Course in which you want the Lesson created
3. Now choose which Module you want to contain your new Lesson
4. Use the [+] icon on the Lesson Card to create a new Lesson
5. You must complete all fields marked with an asterisk [*] before you can save a Lesson draft. We will start at the top and work our way down. A thumbnail is not required to save the draft, so start with a Title.
6. The next [*] is by the Step 1 [Name] field. You can title steps uniquely or reuse a title. In order to keep the learning objective ever-present in the learning environment, I reuse the lesson title for all step name fields.
Whatever name you enter into Step 1 will be replicated as new steps are added. Even though the name will prepopulate, you can edit it for subsequent steps.

7. Even though the Screen placeholder doesn't have an [*], it is required. Studio inserts a placeholder image into every Screen Replica Library so you can utilize it prior to loading your desired screen(s). Click on the placeholder to select a screen.
8. The Screen Replica Library behaves similarly to the Image Library. You can select (A) an existing screen, or (B) you can drag/drop, or search for a screenshot using the top field. Notice there are 2 toggles at the top of your screen. You can choose to autocrop the screens you pull in so only a designated portion of the Screenhot is captured. You can also choose to autoconvert your Screenshots so they become Screen Replicas upon import. If you don't recall the difference between Images, Screenshots, and Screen Captures, please visit this article: https://docs.skyllful.com/docs/images-screenshots-screen-replicas

9. Once your Screenshot is loaded and highlighted, tap [Select] to insert it into your lesson
10. The final field that is required prior to saving your Lesson draft is the [Selected Control]. By default, 'no-action-required' will be entered for you. Since we have entered a placeholder image, there are no points of interaction built. Therefore, we will leave the default and click [Create]. Again, you have the option to autocrop or autoconvert the screenshots you have loaded into the lesson upon clicking [Create]. Personal preferences will dictate your choice. Once you have clicked [Create], Skyllful Studio will remember this as your last setting and set it as your default for subsequent lesson builds.

Locating your New Lesson
There is a lot more you can do when first creating a lesson. Technically, you could create the entire lesson from beginning to end before saving. However, Best Practices tell us that saving as soon as possible, and frequently thereafter, is a valuable habit to build.
Unlike when you create Programs, Courses & Modules - you will not leave your current screen upon creating a Lesson. Instead, you will remain in Lesson Builder and the [Create] button will transition into a gray [Update] button. A gray update button indicates you have saved a draft of this lesson. If the update button turns blue, it means you have unsaved changes.
