✨ Introducing Quick Reference Guide Mode in Lesson Builder

We’re excited to roll out a brand-new way to create polished, standardized documentation right inside Skyllful! Say hello to Lesson Builder's new Quick Reference Guide (QRG) functionality — a streamlined experience that lets authors generate accessible, compliance-friendly guides directly from their existing lessons.

QRGs give teams a simple, consistent way to produce documentation when it’s required for ADA accessibility, ISO 27001 process evidence, internal audits, or other governance needs — all without disrupting the immersive simulation training that Skyllful is known for. Simulations remain the heart of digital readiness. QRGs simply help you meet the paperwork side of the job. 😉

🛠️ What’s New in QRG Mode

When authors switch to Quick Reference Guide mode in Lesson Builder, they’ll unlock QRG-specific editing options, including:

  • Customize the lesson title, description, disclaimers, and conclusion specifically for a QRG version of the material.

  • Edit per-step fields—such as step names, screen descriptions, and instructional notes—without altering the primary training lesson.

  • Independently manage what appears in the QRG, ensuring the guide remains succinct, accessible, and optimized for the frontline workflow it supports

The best part? Your training lesson stays untouched. QRG edits are kept separate, ensuring that your simulation content and your documented process both stay accurate and tightly aligned.

👀 Preview & Customize Before You Export

From the Lesson Builder preview menu, users can now open a dedicated QRG Preview. Here, authors can:

  • Toggle on/off elements such as images, descriptions, or screen details

  • Validate that the guide meets ADA accessibility expectations

  • Produce clean, consistent process documentation ready for ISO, SOC2, or internal audits

  • Export a clear, formatted Word doc when documentation is required

By keeping QRG creation inside Skyllful, organizations avoid the drift and inconsistency that often comes from unmanaged Word docs floating around shared drives. 🎯

🔒 Supporting Compliance Without Compromise

This release strengthens Skyllful’s role not only in training but also in operational support. QRGs help teams:

  • Maintain a single source of truth for both training and documentation

  • Support accessibility requirements with readable, screen-reader-friendly materials

  • Provide standardized procedural evidence during audits

  • Reduce risk from outdated or version-conflicted documentation

And remember — QRGs are supplemental. They provide clarity and compliance where needed, while Skyllful simulations continue to deliver the hands-on learning that drives true digital adoption.

Stay tuned for January's release notes. We have enhancements to the data review experience as well as a sneak peek of our new assignment type!

Please continue bringing your ideas and requests forward so we can turn them into actionable platform improvements that effectively target your needs.
