Understanding Lesson Versioning During Bulk Voiceover and Prompt Style Application
Article Overview
When applying changes to multiple lessons at once—such as bulk updates of voiceover or prompt styles—Skyllful automatically manages version control to ensure consistency and traceability. Each time you apply these updates in bulk, a new version is created for every affected lesson.
What Happens During a Bulk Update?
Bulk updates allow you to efficiently apply changes across many lessons, saving time while keeping content aligned. The following bulk actions trigger a new version of each lesson they touch:
✅ Voiceover styles (e.g., switching from a standard to a natural voice)
💬 Prompt styles (e.g., modifying how questions are phrased for learners)
🌍 Automatic translations (when combined with other changes)
These actions help keep your lessons engaging and accessible while ensuring version control remains intact.
How to Tell Which Lessons Were Update
After a bulk update is applied:
Each updated lesson will have a new version created automatically.
In the lesson’s changelog, you'll see small icons in the lower-right corner that indicate: What type of update was made (voiceover, prompt style, etc.) Which author or system user applied the update
Tip: These icons make it easy to audit changes at the individual lesson level, even after a large-scale update.
Why Bulk Versioning Matters
Versioning during bulk updates ensures:
A clear record of what was changed and when
Safe rollback options if needed
Consistency across large sets of training content
This is especially useful when you're managing updates across multiple roles, products, or learning paths.
